I live in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. Richard Hammond lives in a sort of castle just outside the town.
Back in the day we had Marc Bolan, Roger Whitaker, Sir John Harvey-Jones and Dennis Potter.

At present, Captain José Quiñones Gonzales who, as I'm sure most of you know, flew his crippled fighter into an Ecaudorian anti-aircraft battery during the Ecuadorian-Peruvian War in 1941.

Whoever is responsible for Rumford, Maine, assuming they came from Rumford, Essex (now it's settled on Romford, but there was a linguistic battle between the two variants).
Of course, the very famous Count Rumford actually came from the Maine one.

Grew up in Newham though so the list is endless, Newham must have per capita one of the highest number of famous/influential people, especially sports related, out of anywhere in the world.

Gooch (family) had a removals company in Chadwell Heath, on the High Road, near or next to the Library. Not sure if Graham is one of those Gooches.
Before it was developed, we, as kids (no link) used to play in the field behind their old offices.
Think they'd abandoned it by then (early 60s).
